Students unable to continue regular education at least 14 years of age can apply for CBSE Open school 10th class Direct admission to the CBSE board. Students with formal education in Class 8th or 9th can apply for CBSE Open school 10th class based on School leaving certificate duly countersigned by the education officer. Students without formal education can use the birth certificate issued by the local municipal corporation for CBSE Open School 10th Class admission. All the students enrolled in CBSE Open school 10th class appear for 10th class exams with all the regular school Students. Students should note that the CBSE Open School 10th Class Admission is only for students who are residents of Delhi. The students must have valid Delhi address proof.

For CBSE Open school 12th class, Courses Admission students should have passed Classes 10th from any recognized board in India. Students after passing class 10th should have one year gap to apply for CBSE Open school 12th class Admission. Also, 11th class pass or 11th class fail students can apply for CBSE Open School 12th Class. All the male students looking for CBSE Open school, 12th class courses, can apply for 12th Admission based on the School leaving certificate of class 10th or 11th. Female students who want to apply for CBSE Open school 12th class for the science stream also have to apply based on the School leaving certificate. But female candidates who wish to apply for Arts or commerce Stream for class 12th need not produce the School leaving certificate for the CBSE Open School 12th Class.
